The sports career of 30-year-old Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake was dedicated to a collision with "the fastest man alive" - his countryman Usain Bolt.
The latter smashed world records and wined multiple gold medals—both Blake and Bolt trained by the same coach Glen Mills.
Yohan Blake is a Jamaican sprinter, who is continuously participating in the championships and representing the Richard Mille brand for eight years. The famous brand honors the athlete's achievements in its new product of 2020 - RM 61-01 Ultimate Edition.
Unlike his ambassador, Richard Mill does not need to prove anything for a long time: his extravagant watches are always at the forefront of the watchmaking industry. The body of the new model, released in a limited series of 150 pieces, combines Quartz TPT and Carbon TPT materials.
The layers of silica-based Quartz TPT are no more than 45 microns thick and are stacked by an automatic compiling system that charges the fibers' orientation by 45°between each layer.
Heated to 120°at a pressure of 6 bars in an autoclave, the 600-layer composites are ready for further machining to obtain the final shape. As a result, parts of the case (its size is 50.23 x 15.84 mm) come to live at the brand's factory.
The pattern of each case is unique. The heart of the watch is an open, highly skeletonized caliber crafted titanium with manual winding and a 55-hour power reserve.
